Zowie has raised over PLN 62 million for the development of chatbots, for the expansion of, among others, in Usa

The Polish startup Zowie, which helps to increase sales thanks to customer service in e-commerce, raised over PLN 62 million (USD 14 million) in series A. Financing will help in even faster expansion of Zowie in the USA and the employment of marketing, sales and customer service specialists.

“In just six months from the closing of the Seed round, Zowie raised over PLN 62 million (USD 14 million) in series A. The financing round was led by Tiger Global - an American growth fund operating for nearly 20 years, known for its investments, including in Facebook, Spotify, Coinbase or Stripe. Capital in Series A was also provided by existing investors - Gradient Ventures (a Californian Google fund investing in startups building products using AI), 10xFounders, Inovo Venture Partners and Jack Altman. They took part in the Seed round, in which Zowie raised PLN 20 million (USD 5 million), ”the release reads.

The startup was founded in 2019 by Maja Schaefer and Maciej Ciołek. During just over 2.5 years of operation, Zowie acquired customers from all over the world, including brands such as Answear, DeeZee, Empik, eObuwie, Empik, and Sundose, known and popular among consumers.

“Six months ago, our unique technology and team were supported by the Google fund. Today they are joined by Tiger Global, a representative of the absolute top of the global venture capital market. The latest round of financing will allow us to develop even faster and invest in our team, which we plan to enlarge by another 20 people this year. We believe in Polish talent, and not only the technological one. We have hired fantastic leaders in the United States to be able to transfer knowledge that is not yet available on our market to Poland, "said CEO and co-founder Zowie Maja Schaefer, quoted in the release.

Zowie is a Polish startup that enables online stores to automate and personalize customer service and, consequently, increase sales. The company develops its proprietary AI engine and uses it to create intelligent tools for communicating with customers. The Zowie platform automates 70% of inquiries faced by the e-commerce industry, and makes it easier to recommend new products to customers. Zowie also enables quick and simple API integration with e-commerce platforms and tools such as Shopify, Recharge, and Klaviyo.
