Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police (ZCh Police) recorded PLN 113.06m of consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company in 2021 compared to PLN 116.45m profit a year earlier, the company said in the report. The operating profit amounted to PLN 161.29 million versus PLN 59.08 million profit a year earlier. The EBITDA profit amounted to PLN 297.99 million compared to PLN 182.37 million a year earlier. Consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 3,219.92 million in 2021 compared to PLN 2,427.97 million a year earlier. “Consolidated sales revenues in 2021 amounted to PLN 3.2 billion, and the EBITDA result reached the level of almost PLN 298 million. In turn, the net profit was PLN 113 million. Despite definitely higher revenues, by almost PLN 800 million than in the previous year, the net profit was lower than last year by over PLN 10 million. The financial results for 2021 were influenced by the upward price trends of raw materials used in production, in particular natural gas, the price of which in relation to 2020 increased by as much as 380%, but also phosphorites, potassium salt and sulfur. The increase in raw material prices had a significant impact on the increase in production costs, which translated into increases in market prices of products, ”wrote President Mariusz Grab in a letter to shareholders. ZCh Police, part of Grupa Azoty, is a producer of multi-component mineral fertilizers and titanium white. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2006. Its consolidated revenues amounted to PLN 3.22 billion in 2021. The Azoty Group ranks second in the EU in the production of nitrogen and compound fertilizers, and products such as melamine, caprolactam, polyamide, OXO alcohols and titanium white also have a strong position in the chemical sector, being used in many industries.
