Zalando announces the promotion of Polish brands on its fashion platform in Western Europe, informed the general manager of the platform in CEE Daniel Rogiński.
“We want Polish brands to be strong on Zalando, not only in Poland, but also in Western Europe. We started with the Solar brand, and today there are about 100 Polish brands on Zalando. I think that’s quite a lot and I hope that we will be able to attract more brands as well. The core of our business strategy is local assortment, adapting to the market and we see great sense in promoting Polish companies. Their results in Western Europe already show that they are ready to expand. Sales do not cannibalize and I know this from the experience of Polish partners. We do not compete with their e-shops, we give them the range and the potential to build recognition,” said Rogiński during the press meeting.
He indicated that Kazar is currently the best-selling Polish brand on 22 foreign markets (over 0.5 million transactions in two years or 1% of the current active Zalando base – source Kazar). In turn, in Poland, the Lancerto brand is growing dynamically on Zalando and plans to expand internationally through this platform.
“What is important is the increase in markets such as the Netherlands, France, Italy and Germany. This shows where Polish brands are already in terms of quality,” added the general manager of Zalando in the region.
He emphasized that the platform’s logistics network includes 12 distribution centers in Europe and return centers.
“We also offer multichannel fullfillment and the partner can even operate his website through Zalando warehouses. We can even handle orders from our competitors’ platforms. Today, we can serve all 25 European markets at competitive prices and quality. This solution allows Polish brands to expand and optimize their model,” pointed out Rogiński.
In addition to support on Western markets, Zalando is launching a campaign in Poland to support local brands under the slogan “It’s Polish brands on Zalando”.
“The Polishness of local brands is very important for Polish customers, which is why we want to increase their visibility against the wide range of fashion products on Zalando” – summed up the general manager of Zalando in CEE.
Zalando is one of Europe’s leading fashion and lifestyle platforms with over 50 million customers from 25 countries.
