Żabka targets petrol market with fast-refueling concept

Żabka launched its first pilot store at the Rakieta petrol station, located in Krosno near Mosina (Greater Poland Voivodeship), the company said. This is another store format next to the seasonal, mobile or self-service stores. The Rakieta station is self-service and, thanks to the automatic fuel sales system, offers customers the option of quick refueling.

“For several years, we have been setting up seasonal shops by the Baltic Sea for the duration of the holidays, this year we have launched a pilot mobile Żabka present at concerts and fairs. Our maintenance-free Żappka Store is already operating in several cities, allowing you to make purchases even in a few seconds without contacting the seller. The launch of the first pilot Żabka at a gas station is another step towards providing customers with the greatest possible comfort of shopping, and for franchisees with unique locations, generating a large number of customers and adequate turnover, ”said Tomasz Suchański, CEO of Żabka Group.

The station where Żabka opens its first store as part of the project belongs to the Rakieta chain – a network of small gas stations, new on the market, offering traditional and self-service refueling. The stations are being built on developed areas and owned by AFS (Automotive Fuels Services).
