Wittchen launched first showroom in Romania, plans openings in Austria and Germany

The Wittchen Group has opened its first stationary store in Romania, the company announced. In November this year, the Group launched its first store in Slovakia and is also preparing to open its own stores in Germany and Austria in 2024.

“We are happy to open the first Wittchen stationary store in Bucharest, during a very important commercial period of the year. This is a bridgehead for our further expansion on this very promising market, for which we have ambitious plans. We chose one of the most recognizable shopping malls as the location of our first store in Romania, which will significantly increase the exposure of the Wittchen brand and make it easier for us to reach potential customers. The decision to open a stationary store was preceded by the launch of an online store, which will be launched on the Romanian market in 2022. We will carefully monitor sales in the showroom in Bucharest and if everything goes according to our plan, perhaps next year we will open more stationary stores in Romania,” said president Jędrzej Wittchen, quoted in the release.

Apart from Romania and Poland, where there are a total of over 100 stationary stores with the Wittchen or Wittchen Travel logo, the Group also has its own stores in the Czech Republic (7 stores), Hungary (3 stores) and Ukraine (10 franchise stores), and recently also in Slovakia – in November this year it opened its first showroom in Bratislava. Next year, it plans to open its own stores in Austria and Germany. In the third quarter of this year foreign sales accounted for 25% of the total revenues of the Wittchen Group.

“We have a very strong and recognizable brand on the Polish market. At the same time, we have ambitions to develop more dynamically on foreign markets. We are consistently implementing our international expansion plan. Our products are available on the largest marketplace platforms, in our own online stores, as well as in stationary stores in five European countries, apart from Poland. We currently generate the most foreign revenues on the German market, through the e-commerce channel. We are preparing to open stationary showrooms in Germany in 2024. We also plan to launch a showroom in Austria,” announced the president.

Wittchen is a seller of leather accessories. It also sells footwear and leather clothing as well as travel accessories. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2015 and is included in the sWIG80 index. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 406 million in 2022.
