Unimot expects 5-10 more Spar stores at Avia stations in 2023

Unimot assumes that the number of Spar stores at Avia network stations will increase by another 5-10 outlets by the end of 2023, ISBnews CEO Adam Sikorski informed. Currently, Spar stores operate at almost all Unimot own stations and at one franchise station.

“We want to further develop cooperation with the Spar chain, because we see that the standard of stations equipped with a store of this brand is improving, and the turnover and margin are growing. However, we cannot, of course, force franchisees to start this cooperation, we can only show on the example of our own stations that it works” – said Sikorski in an interview with ISBnews.

As he emphasized, currently Spar stores operate at almost all Unimot’s own stations (over 40 facilities) and at one franchise station in Pilchowice.

“We see interest in this solution from other franchisees, moreover, each newly launched Unimot own station will be equipped with a Spar store from the very beginning, so I hope that another 5-10 Spar stores will be opened at Avia stations this year and this development will continue in the years to come,” he added.

Unimot specializes in trading diesel oil, biofuels, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas (including LNG) and electricity. As a member of the international association Avia International, since 2017 he has been developing a network of petrol stations in Poland under the Avia brand. In 2020, the company entered the photovoltaics market with the Avia Solar brand. In March 2017, the company debuted on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange after switching from NewConnect; is included in the sWIG80 index. The company had PLN 13.37 billion in consolidated revenue in 2022.
