Unilever will invest almost PLN 90 million in the expansion of the factory in Poznań

Unilever will expand its factory in Poznań, increase capacity and production, and the investment worth nearly PLN 90 million will start in 2023, the company announced.

As part of the investment, a new production line will be built, which will allow for increasing the production capacity of the ramen category for the Knorr, Unox and Amino brands. Full automation will allow for a capacity of 600,000. packs per day. The new products will be distributed in Poland, as well as the Netherlands, Hungary and selected other European countries, it was announced.

“The investment in Poznań will help us continue to respond to the growing demands of the European market. Moreover, our Polish food business is also strengthening its position,” said Nutrition President at Unilever Hanneke Faber, quoted in the release.

“Our Poznań factory is one of the largest food production plants in Unilever. Today we are writing the next chapter in her story. Thanks to further investments, we will be able to respond even more effectively to the needs of our customers and continue to develop our business,” added Przemysław Fejfer, director of the Unilever factory.

The company emphasized that the investment will be constructed in accordance with the highest environmental standards, allowing, among others, to optimize the consumption of electricity and water and ensure high efficiency of the production process. Additionally, as part of a larger investment plan, Unilever will implement the latest technological innovations at the factory, including: increased process automation, intelligent warehouses or the use of sustainable energy.

The factory in Poznań is one of three Unilever factories located in Poland. At the same time, it is a key production plant for Europe, belonging to the food part of the company’s business (Nutrition Business Group), producing the largest tonnage among factories on the continent – an average of 10,000. tons of products per month, it was reported.

Unilever – one of the largest global players in the FMCG market – is one of the leading global suppliers of Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, Nutrition and Ice Cream products, selling in 190 countries, reaching 3.4 billion consumers daily.
