The Tymbark plant in Olsztynek, owned by the Maspex Group, has opened a modern production and warehouse building with a new technical infrastructure intended for the manufacturing of their soft-drinks.
The fully automated logistics centre which has been equipped with three modern production lines, will accommodate 30,000 pallets at 13 storage levels. The value of the investment project amounted to PLN 170 million.
“Investments have been the lifeblood of our company from the very beginning of its existence. Innovative technologies and systems that we use at every stage of production allow us to expand the product offer and respond to the needs of our consumers. Modern logistics solutions and large distribution centers, such as the one in Olsztynek, help us build our competitive advantage,” says Krzysztof Pawiński, co-owner and President of the Board at the Maspex Group.
From moment the plant in Olsztynek was incorporated into the Maspex Group in 1996, the company has invested a total of over PLN 625 million in the development of production and logistics facilities and raw materials. This has allowed the Olsztynek plant to increase in production, with over 50,000 pallet spaces in its warehouses.
Tymbark in Olsztynek buys over 100,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables per year from Polish suppliers (mainly carrots, apples, tomatoes and strawberries), which accounts for up to 1/3 of the Group’s purchasing options. The Group also purchases raw materials in its plants in Tymbark and Łowicz. For twelve years, the processing capability of the Olsztynek plant has increased five-fold.
