The Unimot is practically ready to suspend fuel supplies from Russia

Unimot leased three tanks with a capacity of 127 thousand cubic meters for a year. m3 at the Gulfhavn fuel terminal in Denmark, which is to allow the company to import diesel oil from directions other than Russia, said President Adam Sikorski.

“Poland is practically ready to suspend fuel supplies from Russia, if such a political decision is made at the European Union level. There are approximately 4.6 million m3 of diesel to be replaced, which we imported in 2021, i.e. as much as 66.5% of this fuel import, 'Sikorski said during the video after the publication of financial results.

“Unfortunately, not all companies have the same access to infrastructure that enables alternative imports. The share of Russian LPG is very large in the entire basket of LPG imports to Poland and its replacement is more difficult than replacing diesel oil and crude oil, precisely because of the import infrastructure. We, as Unimot, are working hard to end the import from Russia, ”Sikorski said during a chat on the platform of the Association of Individual Investors (SII).

Unimot specializes in trading diesel oil, biofuels, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas (including LNG) and electricity. As a member of the international association Avia International, since 2017, he has been developing a network of petrol stations in Poland under the Avia brand. In 2020, the company entered the photovoltaic market with the Avia Solar brand. In March 2017, the company made its debut on the WSE main market after switching from NewConnect. The company had PLN 8.21 billion of consolidated revenues in 2021.
