The Unibep Group obtained contracts with a total value of nearly PLN 1.35 billion in the first three quarters of 2023, and the current order portfolio to be completed from the fourth quarter of 2023 is approximately PLN 3.4 billion, the company reported.
Unibep also has a good chance of signing contracts worth PLN 1.4 billion in the near future under current market conditions (Unibep’s offer took first place in the proceedings). These are “healthy” contracts, calculated under new rules, taking into account higher costs of materials and services, it was reported.
“In the next 6-8 months, we expect the prices of materials and workmanship to stabilize, with the possibility of their slight reduction, with a simultaneous temporary reduction in orders on the market and increased competition. We believe that the structure of our portfolio ensures a safe passage through this period and allows us to realistically plan the development of our business,” said Dariusz Blocher, president of Unibep, quoted in the release.
The company emphasized that it had recently carried out an issue of three-year series I bonds in the amount of approx. PLN 138 million, which was very popular on the market, which will allow the group to make early redemption of series G and H bonds in the total amount of approx. PLN 100 million. The surplus resulting from emissions allows for stable financing of operations in the longer term.
Unibep operates in various segments of the construction industry. It is a general contractor in Poland, with a strong position as a builder of housing estates and large-scale facilities, and working in the energy and industrial segment. For years, the company has had a modular house factory in Poland (sells them mainly to the German market and Scandinavian countries), and operates in the infrastructure sector (builds roads and bridges, viaducts and other engineering structures) mainly in north-eastern Poland. The company – through Unidevelopment – also conducts development activities in Warsaw, Poznań, Radom and Tricity. Unibep has been listed on the WSE since 2008. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 2,258 million in 2022.
