Start-up Foodibazar enters the e-grocery market

The Foodibazar brand enters the Polish e-grocery market worth about PLN 3 billion. The business model assumes the distribution of fresh food products straight from markets and bazaars. Orders placed via a dedicated platform will be delivered directly to the customer using the “door to door” service. Foodibazar plans to use internal logistics, thus realizing an efficient product flow process. A dedicated purchasing platform will be launched at the beginning of 2022. The company assumes several thousand transactions in the first year of operation.

“We are in advanced work on the mechanics of our online platform, which is scheduled to start at the beginning of next year. The goal of Foodibazar’s business will be to provide consumers with access to fresh and high-quality food. We base our activity on internal logistics – from ordering, through packaging, to receipt of goods by the driver” – says Michał Kowalczyk, president of the board of Foodibazar. – There are over 60 marketplaces on the market. Our ambition is to sign contracts with most of them. We are currently conducting preliminary talks with over a dozen entities – he adds.

Foodibazar will be guaranteed by sellers whom consumers have known for years. The company pays attention to the purchasing experience of buyers and the possibility of getting to know the sellers, their history and experience better. The platform will be a tool coordinating the entire purchasing process, making it faster and safer.
