Ministry injects 200 million pln into Polish Post to develop courier services

Poczta Polska will receive a capital injection of PLN 190 million by the Ministry of State Assets, headed by Jacek Sasin. The money is to be spent on the purchase of machinery and the construction of new sorting plants to strengthen the state-owned company on the courier services market.

The announcement of Poczta Polska about the departmental plan to recapitalize Poczta Polska shows that almost PLN 200 million, which will go to the state-owned company, will be spent on the implementation of the Logistics Network Architecture project, which is to help in the fight on the courier market.

According to the announcement, the name ASL covers the purchase of machines for three existing sorting plants and the construction of further sorting plants on the land of Poczta Polska in Szczecin, Olsztyn and Białystok, as well as the rental and equipment of parcel sorters in facilities for processing parcels in Warsaw, Łódź and Kraków. and Rzeszów. At the beginning, however, the Post Office wants to buy three parcel sorters for the sorting plants in Wrocław, Lisie Ogon near Bydgoszcz and Lublin. The next step will be to launch a second, modern and fully automated sorting plant in Warsaw.
