Robert Ostrowski has ceased to be the president of Polskie Elektrownie Nucleowe, formerly known as PGE EJ1. The current minister of climate, Michał Kurtyka, could become the new president of PEJ.
Polish Nuclear Power Plants is a company that is to deal with the investment and construction of a nuclear power plant in Poland. Previously, this company was called PGE EJ 1, which in March became 100 percent owned by the State Treasury. In June, its name was changed to PEJ.
From April 30, 2020, Robert Ostrowski was the president of PGE EJ 1, and then PEJ. However, he was appointed on July 30 to the management board of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and a few days ago resigned from his position in PEJ – informs wnp.pl.
According to the website, it is likely that the new president of PEJ will be Michał Kurtyka – the current minister of climate. His place would be taken by the former Minister of Development, Jadwiga Emilewicz.
