The PGE Foundation made a donation of PLN 100,000 to Caritas of the Rzeszów Diocese for the purpose of targeted aid for refugees from war zones in Ukraine.

"Our response to the needs of the people who have suffered as a result of unjustified aggression by Russia is immediate. It is our duty to help refugees from Ukraine who find themselves in a dramatic situation, said the president of Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) Wojciech Dąbrowski, quoted in the press release.

The purpose of the donation is to help the victims of Russian aggression in Ukraine. It will consist in admitting refugees to Caritas centers, providing them with accommodation, food, clothing, possible medical care and other necessary forms of support. The support will be distributed in close cooperation with the Voivodeship Office in Rzeszów.

In the face of the war in Ukraine and the tragedy of Ukrainian citizens seeking refuge in our country, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo together with the PGNiG SA Foundation Ignacy Łukasiewicz and in cooperation with the Marshal's Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, it organizes support for reception points operating at the Polish-Ukrainian border.

“In the face of the tragedy that has hit our Ukrainian neighbors, support is our civic duty. PGNiG, as a socially responsible company, immediately decided to engage in aid activities, ”emphasized Paweł Majewski, president of PGNiG, quoted in the press release.

There are four reception centers for refugees from Ukraine in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. They are located near the Polish-Ukrainian border crossings in Dorohusk, Dołhobyczów, Hrebenne and Zosin. At the beginning of next week, thanks to the involvement of PGNiG, each of them will receive 5,000 bottles of water and packed lunch, including bars, cookies, rice wafers.
