The OT Logistics Group continues its investment plans so that this year increase the efficiency of its ports by nearly 50% and improve their efficiency thanks to automation, which in the near future will make it possible to achieve the total annual transshipment potential of the Group’s ports at the level of approx. 12 million tons, said President Kamil Jedynak.
“The financial situation of the OTL Group after the first half of the year is very good, as shown by the estimated selected financial data that we share with the shareholders. […] We are still supported by market factors both in port services and in rail and sea forwarding. Our ports are becoming more and more competitive, e.g. thanks to investments that respond to the growing demand for our handling services, mainly in the field of agro goods and coal. We are also continuing our investment plans so as to increase the efficiency of our ports by nearly 50% this year and improve their efficiency thanks to automation. These activities will allow us to achieve the total annual transshipment potential of the ports of the OTL Group in the near future at the level of approx. 12 million tonnes,” said Jedynak, quoted in the release devoted to the estimated results.
The OT Logistics Group announced that it recorded an estimated PLN 124 million in net profit, approximately PLN 130 million in EBITDA in the first half of 2018. 2023, and net sales revenues of approximately PLN 350 million. The value of the net profit achieved was partly affected by one-off events related to the sale by the company of the shares held in Luka Rijeka d.d. and expiration of the put option. Financial revenues generated on this account amounted to nearly PLN 54 million.
The company emphasized that it is strengthening its position in the construction of comprehensive supply chains and can offer a full range of services: ship freighting, port services, forwarding and transport. The OTL Group includes sea port terminals: OT Port Świnoujście and OT Port Gdynia. The OTL Group is also the owner of the Rentrans Cargo forwarding company, Kolej Bałtycka – providing shunting services and rail transport. The OTL Group also includes Port Żegluga Szczecińska, a company dealing with hydrotechnical projects.
The OTL Group is a group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange specializing in transport, forwarding and logistics services. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 455.3 million in 2022.
