Tauron Polska Energia wants to have 1 GW of installed capacity in offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea by 2030, said Artur Michałowski, acting president.
“Tauron cannot stand passively and offshore is an opportunity for us. Our goal is 1 GW by 2030, our place must be marked, ”said Michałowski during a panel at the Economic Forum in Karpacz.
“There are areas that we have to enter on our own, but it is also important that Polish companies cooperate with each other,” added the president.
In January this year. Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE), Enea and Tauron Polska Energia have signed a letter of intent regarding future cooperation in the field of offshore wind energy. The cooperation through the joint entity concerns new projects in the Baltic Sea.
