Tauron: The 910 MW unit in Jaworzno has been synchronized with the system

The 910 MW power unit in Jaworzno has been synchronized with the National Power System (KSE), Tauron Polska Energia reported.

“All tasks aimed at preparing the unit for synchronization have been successfully completed. We completed this process thanks to the great commitment of the employees of the Tauron Group. The 910 MW block is the most modern unit of this type in Poland, which will be the foundation of the Polish power system for many years, ”said President Paweł Szczeszek, quoted in the release.

The unit start-up process, which started at the beginning of March, in addition to the preparation of all block systems and auxiliary management systems, also included the performance of numerous measurements and functional tests, including security control of the key elements of the unit involved in the synchronization and further operation of the unit. On the other hand, in the months preceding the start-up, intensive work was carried out mainly in the area of ​​the boiler's combustion chamber.
