Tauron plans to build another 2,000 sq m. km of MV lines in 2022.

Tauron Dystrybucja - a subsidiary of Tauron Polska Energia - built 2,521 km of new cable lines in 2021 and plans to build another approx. km of such lines in 2022, the group said. Tauron aims to reach 75% of medium voltage wired lines by 2040.
“We are constantly carrying out the process of changing the structure of the power grid, especially the medium voltage grid, towards a greater share of the cable grid. 

Our medium voltage network is already wired in approx. 39% and it is the highest percentage of medium voltage wiring in Poland among large DSOs. Due to technological changes, the current unit outlays for the construction of the cable line have come close to the outlays for the construction of the overhead line, "said Jerzy Topolski, vice president of Tauron, quoted in the release.
