Tauron Polska Energia is in the process of developing two photovoltaic farms and four wind farms with a total capacity of about 230 MW, the company’s vice president for finance Krzysztof Surma said.

“We currently have two photovoltaic farms and four wind farms under development with a total capacity of about 230 MW,” he said. – Surma said during a conference call.

The total capex allocated to these projects in the first three quarters of 2023 is PLN 363 million, including PLN 86 million in Q3 alone.

Of this, PLN 109 million has been allocated for the PV Proszówki project, PLN 74 million for PV Mysłowice, and PLN 64 million for the Warblewo wind farm, PLN 62 million for Mierzyn, and PLN 27 million each for Gamów and Brzeźnica.

Tauron Polska Energia is a holding company in the group, which is engaged in coal mining, generation, distribution and sale of electricity and heat. The Tauron Group covers 18% of the country and is the largest distributor of energy in Poland and one of the largest businesses in the country. The company had revenues of PLN 36.31 billion in 2022.
