Sokołów has made investments limiting gas and electricity consumption in several plants

Sokołów has made investments limiting gas and electricity consumption in its plants in Osie, Jarosław, Dębica, Koło and Tarnów. The solutions introduced at the Sokołów Group's plants will make it possible to reduce the annual gas consumption by 163,360 m3, and electricity - by 1,226 MWh per year.

"The latest completed investments include, among others modernization of the company's technological steam network and central heating installation at the plant in Osie, which will bring annual savings in gas consumption of almost 18,000 m3. In the plant in Jarosław, solutions have been implemented to improve energy efficiency, the effect of which will be to reduce energy consumption (in total by over 1,100 MWh). The modernization of the plant's technological steam network at the Dębica Branch will allow to reduce gas consumption by almost 60,000 m3 per year. The plant in Koło has modernized and reconstructed heat networks, reducing energy consumption by over 700 MWh, and annual gas consumption - by almost 66,000 m3. Modern solutions for energy recovery in industrial processes have been introduced in the Tarnów branch, bringing measurable energy savings (225 MWh) and gas (over 20,000 m 3 per year), ”reads the release.

Sokołów conducts constant monitoring of analyzes of the consumption of energy factors per production unit, it was also stated.

The Danish Crown Group, to which Sokołów belongs, wants to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and become climate neutral by 2050.
