Skanska starts building big in Wrocław

POLAND Skanska has started the construction of the Centrum Południe office complex, which is to be the developer’s seventh and the largest development in Wrocław.

Five buildings are to be built at the junction of ul. Powstańców Śląskich and ul. Szczęśliwej with 85,000 sqm gla in total. Two buildings of fifteen and six storeys are under construction in the first stage with a total of 26,000 sqm in an investment of EUR 52 mln. Both buildings will share a two level underground car park. The completion of the first stage is scheduled for the second quarter of 2020. Around a quarter of the entire plot is designed as common space for recreational use. The complex is to be constructed in four phases and is intended to be certified under LEED Platinum, WELL and, ‘Building without barriers’. The design is by APA Wojciechowski and Skanska is acting as the general contractor with Skanska Property Poland being responsible for the project’s commercialisation.
