SDS Optic hopes to open a lab in the US by the end of 2023

SDS Optic hopes to open a laboratory in the US by the end of this year, the company’s chief operating & business officer Matthew Sagan announced.

“By the end of this year we hope to open a laboratory in the US. We have 2 locations selected, we are on the last straight of the recruitment process – within 2-3 weeks we hope to recruit a specialist, we are currently talking to 2 candidates. With the EIB’s support, we can move to a completely different stage of development.” – Sagan said during the WSE Innovation Day, organized by the WSE and CC Group. In early October, SDS Optic reported that it had entered into a venture debt financing agreement for up to €10 million with the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the InvestEU Research Innovation and Digitalisation Window (RIDW) 1.1 Health Innovation program, which aims to provide financing for projects of high social and economic value that contribute to EU policy goals. The funding will be used for research, development and commercialization of the inPROBE technology platform.

SDS Optic is a company developing its proprietary inPROBE technology platform for real-time medical diagnostics in cancer, infectious, viral, bacterial and fungal diseases. The company debuted on the NewConnect market in 2022.
