Scope Fluidics has started the validation of the BacterOMIC system

Scope Fluidics has started, as part of the relevant pre-registration studies, the validation of the BacterOMIC system with an extended diagnostic panel, the company said.

“The research will be conducted in an internal laboratory on clinical material obtained from hospitals. The aim of the research is to confirm that the BacterOMIC system obtains more than 90% of the quantitative compliance and the qualitative assessment of bacterial drug susceptibility for a larger pool of antibiotics. The tests are carried out with the use of cartridges manufactured in cooperation with Technicolor Polska Sp. z o.o. [...], which resulted in the optimization of the cartridge production process. In parallel, the R&D department of BacterOMIC developed changes and extensions to the algorithm for assessing microbial growth, ”reads the release.

Scope Fluidics was established in 2010 at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences with a view to creating solutions for medicine based on microfluidic technologies. The company deals with the development of technological projects in the area of diagnostics and health protection. Scope Fluidics is listed on NewConnect.
