SatRev will build a nanosatellite factory in the Legnica SEZ

SatRev - a company from the JR Holding portfolio - has signed a letter of cooperation with the Legnica Special Economic Zone (LSEZ) and is planning to build a factory producing nanosatellites in commercial quantities, said President Grzegorz Zwoliński.

“By 2026, we plan to create a constellation of 1,000 satellites. For this goal to come true, we need a place for development and I believe that we have found one in the Legnica Special Economic Zone. The signed letter of cooperation is another step in the development of both the company and the Polish space sector, said Zwoliński, quoted in the release.

SatRev aims to be the world's first manufacturer of satellites to use 100% renewable energy in its manufacturing process. Thanks to the cooperation with the LSEZ, SatRev will receive public aid for its project - after meeting the requirements. As many as 100 satellites per year will be produced in the production hall, which also includes a laboratory and clean rooms, it was also announced.

SatRev (formerly SatRevolution) was founded in Poland in 2016 to focus on the emerging space market. Thanks to vertically integrated activities, the company specializes in the design, production and operation of satellites.
