Samsung to invest PLN 900 million in washing machine and refrigerator factory in Wronki

Samsung Electronics Poland Manufacturing has received a decision to support the investment consisting in the construction of a new factory and expansion of the already existing in the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone in Wronki, the Ministry of Development and Technology announced. The company declared to increase its production capacity from 4 million to 5.2 million units annually and to create 60 new jobs. The total capital expenditure is to total approximately PLN 900 million.

“Our investment concept is planned for many years. It assumes not only the construction of a new production and warehouse hall and the expansion of the existing refrigerator factory, but also the creation of an industrial complex in the vicinity of the existing plant in Wronki,”- announced Olgierd Bałtaki, director of Samsung EPM.

In the years 2022-2024, Samsung Electronics Poland Manufacturing intends to increase its production capacity in Wronki, in the Kostrzyn-Słubice SEZ. The new investment project assumes an increase in the number of manufactured products by over 30% annually.

Korean investor plans to expand the existing refrigerator factory to create space for an additional, third assembly line. The construction works are to begin in mid-2022 and end in autumn 2023. The total capital expenditure that the company intends to incur in connection with the implementation of the multi-stage project, which includes the construction of a new and expansion of an operating factory, is to amount to – according to the investor – a total of approx. PLN 900 million.
