R.Power aims for 10 GW of PV by 2030, hunts for acquisitions armed with 1 billion pln green bonds

R. Power plans to reach 10 GWp of the total capacity of its own photovoltaic projects by 2030, the company said. This is to allow him to join the group of the 10 largest independent energy producers in Europe. Half of this portfolio is to be made up of projects located in Poland.

Only in 2021, the company built and connected 179 ground-based solar power plants in Poland, and another 549 MWp of solar power plants are waiting to be built in Poland and Portugal. The company is developing a portfolio of over 6 GWp of PV projects in Poland, but also in other European Union countries. Regardless of the development of its own projects, the R.Power Group is interested in acquiring interesting PV projects that have obtained an environmental decision and / or conditions for connection to the grid.

“Development in Poland is very important to us, therefore we have developed a long-term investment program that includes the purchase of projects from external partners. We are particularly interested in power plants with a capacity above 5 MWp. For this purpose, we have established a green bond issue program worth PLN 1 billion. We want to spend some of the money on the purchase of projects in Poland, said President Przemek Pięta.

The R.Power Group is developing its own portfolio of solar farms as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and has no plans to sell the power plants after their construction, it was noted.
