R.Power obtained PLN 250 million as part of the issue of green bonds

R. Power obtained a total of PLN 250 million under the current green bond issue, the company said. The group of bondholders was enlarged by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) and mBank, which acquired two series of bonds with a total nominal value of PLN 75 million. The funds will be allocated to the development of the portfolio of solar farm projects in Poland and abroad.

“In the face of the uncertain geopolitical situation, as well as the challenges related to climate policy, green energy is the future for Europe, which may increase the region's energy independence. We appreciate the commitment of financial institutions that are more and more willing to support investments in renewable energy sources. However, for full success, even greater involvement of government institutions is needed, both in the field of policy conducive to renewable energy, as well as the introduction of legislative solutions favorable for the industry, "said President of the R.Power Group, Przemek Pięta, quoted in the release.

The funds obtained so far have allowed, among others for the development of a portfolio of own power plants and reaching the level of nearly 750 MWp of fully developed projects (RtB), of which 428 MWp is currently under construction or already producing green energy. The share of foreign projects is over 15% and is dynamically growing from quarter to quarter.
