Resource Partners acquires 7Anna bicyling group

A growing number of private equity funds see the market potential of the cycling industry on all levels. The deal will provide key funding for international expansion for its brands which are part of the group: Creme Cycles, NS Bikes, Octane One and Rondo.

One factory in Asian produces 7Anna’s bicycle brands for the Asian countries and three Eastern European factories for the other markets.

The final agreement for the take-over by Resource Partners Sp. z o.o. and the previous owner of 7Anna was concluded last week on 19 April. The founders of 7Anna will continue in their current key management positions and expand the market position of its bicycle portfolio. Founded in 2001, 7Anna has been designing, manufacturing and marketing high-quality bicycles and components using their brand names Creme Cycles, Octane One, Rondo and NS Bikes (not to be confused with the bike rental system of the Dutch national railways NS). 7Anna is distributing these brands on its home market as well as in all other major European and North American countries.

“The transaction with Resource Partners comes while we are witnessing an unprecedented bicycle sales boom. Our new partnership is a great opportunity for us to take advantage of this global trend and allow us to scale our business accordingly,” says Creme Cycles co-founder and brand manager Maciej Kempa.
