Pramerica Życie becomes Unum Życie

Pramerica Życie TUiR SA has a new owner, the Unum Group – provider of financial protection benefits to over 36 mln customers in the United States and the United Kingdom.

As a result of this change, Pramerica has started operating under Unum Zycie name.

The new ownership structure and name change will have no impact on in-force insurance contracts, which will continue on the same terms and conditions. With time, the company will enhance its offer to further improve the targeting of evolving financial needs of individual customers and firms.

New possibilities
After a thorough review of market opportunities and needs, Unum is going to bring a new dimension to Pramerica strategy, and invest in individual and group business segments. Digital solutions are another priority item on the agenda, with the purpose to streamline customer service processes and product solutions.

A new brand – the same mission
Pramerica starts operating under ‘Unum’ brand, alongside other Unum businesses including Unum US, Unum UK and Colonial Life.  The word ‘Unum’ comes from ancient Latin for ‘one’. It symbolizes joint efforts undertaken by the many operations of Unum Group for the benefit of customers and their financial security.
