Q 2 was an excellent quarter for Polish start-ups. A new report from PFR Ventures and Inovo Venture Partners sums up transactions on the venture capital market, showing that 118 transactions were closed, in which 109 funds were involved, and providing funding of PLN 936 million.
According to the pfrventures.pl website, in the second quarter of 2021, PLN 936 million passed through the Polish venture capital market. It is the total value of capital that Polish and foreign funds have invested in domestic innovative enterprises. In the entire first half of 2021, Polish startups acquired PLN 1.17 billion from investors, which is over 55 percent. investment value throughout 2020. Experts expect another annual record.
“In mid-2020, the VC market reached the level of the entire 2019. It is expected that the third quarter will be even stronger, which will allow us to fight for another record and break the transaction value at the level of PLN 2.1 billion.
