New health facilities will be built and developed in Africa by ‘Redemptoris Missio,’ a humanitarian aid foundation in Poznan, through funds gained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Justyna Janiec-Palczewska, the director of Redemptoris Missio, told PAP that the biggest challenge was time, since the organisation had six months to implement three projects in three African countries. She said, however, that the foundation has had experience carrying out similar projects in the past.
Funds for the projects of the Redemptoris Missio foundation derive from grants which came from a “Polish development assistance 2021” competition organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Janiec-Palczewska said that thanks to this money, nearly PLN 1.5 million (EUR 327,000) in total, it would be possible to renovate and equip the Centre for Malnourished Children in Velingara, Senegal, expand the health centre in Kithatu, Kenya, and build and equip a clinic for mothers and Children in Maganzo, Tanzania.
