The material advancement of the Polimery Police investment is 99.41%, and the start of commercial operations is planned for the second half of 2023, said Marek Wadowski, Vice-President of Grupa Azoty.
“Polimer Police is currently over 99% advanced, and we anticipate commercial operation in the second half of the year. This will change the revenue structure of the entire group and will be one of the important elements of improving the situation in the group,” said Wadowski during the teleconference.
Michał Siewierski, vice-president of Zakłady Chemiczne Police, added that all construction works have already been completed and the investment is currently being settled.
In the case of the group’s second key investment, i.e. the construction of a coal-fired unit in Puławy, the stage of completion is 97%, and the procedure for increasing the budget of this investment from PLN 1.2 to 1.23 billion and extending the deadline for completion by 223 days, i.e. until June 3, is underway 2023.
Grupa Azoty ranks second in the EU in the production of nitrogen and compound fertilizers, and products such as melamine, caprolactam, polyamide, OXO alcohols and titanium white also have a strong position in the chemical sector, being used in many industries. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 24.66 billion in 2022.
