President Andrzej Duda took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of the Center for Development and Production of Oncological Drugs in Tarchomińskie Zakłady Farmaceutyczne “Polfa” S.A. in Warsaw.
During the ceremony, Duda emphasized that Tarchomińskie Zakłady Farmaceutyczne “Polfa” are the oldest pharmaceutical plants in Poland – in 2023 they will celebrate its 200th anniversary.
As he emphasized, these plants “return to their great tradition of pioneering, thriving plants, attracting modern scientific staff, attracting people with development ambitions, both personal, but also with ambitions to contribute their personal , your own donation “.
- The Center for the Development and Production of Oncological Drugs as well as immunosuppressive drugs is an absolutely ground-breaking investment in our country – said the president. As he said, “it has long been in Poland, especially when it comes to the state substance (there was no situation – PAP), to implement such an ambitious investment, with such far-reaching development goals and also at such high costs”.
Duda noted that the cost of building the Center is PLN 400 million.
