Greenfield projects carried out as Foreign Direct Investments in Poland in 2017 created the highest number of workplaces in Europe, growing by 53 percent compared to 2016, according to “fDi Intelligence: Global greenfield investment trends” report. “Over 99,000 jobs makes Poland an unquestionable leader on our continent,” said Krzysztof Senger, vice-president of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). The UK with 80,000 jobs and Russia with 70,000 came in second and third.
Poland also placed fifth in Europe in terms of the number of greenfield projects (338 projects, marking a 24 percent growth y/y). PAIH underlined that excluding the UK and Russia, Poland took third spot in the number of FDI greenfield projects.
