Poczta Polska has signed a contract for a new IT system to manage logistics processes (Transportation Management System), the company has announced. The software will be developed by Poczta Polska Usługi Cyfrowe (PPUC), which operates on the commercial market under the name Envelo.
The contract provides for the design, delivery and implementation of a system that supports all logistics processes in the company – in terms of management, transport, delivery, monitoring and settlement of mail streams in real time. Under the agreement the PPUC will also be responsible for maintaining the system and providing warranty services.
“Over the past several months we have implemented all of Poczta Polska’s strategic projects. Among them such, which until now, often for many years, were only the subject of conceptual work. One of them is the project of creating a new IT system to manage logistics processes. The contract for delivery of TMS concluded with Poczta Polska Usługi Cyfrowe, i.e. a subsidiary of Poczta Polska, is also another big step on the way to building the software house of the postal capital group, which is an important element of our strategy,” said Polish Post CEO Tomasz Zdzikot.
