In the near future, PKP Cargo would like to sign a contract with Wagony Świdnica on cooperation in the production of freight wagons at the factory in Gniewczyn – PAP Biznes told PAP Biznes in an interview with the president of PKP Cargo, Czesław Warsewicz.
“We plan to start production of wagons in Gniewczyn at the turn of 2022 and 2023. Our own plant will allow us to flexibly respond to market needs. Apart from coal wagons, we will be able to produce other types of wagons, such as intermodal platforms, cisterns” – said the president.
“The arrangements for cooperation with Wagony Świdnica are underway and we hope that it will be possible to sign the contract in the near future,” he added.
At the beginning of October, PKP Cargo signed a letter of intent with the Wagony Świdnica company, which belongs to the American Greenbrier group, on cooperation in the production of freight wagons at the factory in Gniewczyn.
