PKN Orlen is analyzing investments in the energy sector in Lithuania

PKN Orlen is getting ready to make investment decisions regarding the implementation of energy projects important from the point of view of the entire region in Lithuania, informed President Daniel Obajtek. During the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonyt, he discussed, inter alia, further development of the Mazeikiu refinery and investments in wind energy, hydrogen and small nuclear energy planned by the concern.

“Lithuania is an important business partner for us. We strengthen relationships, opening up to new opportunities for cooperation. The difficult times in which we operate today are not only a challenge, but also a great opportunity for further development. We must make full use of it. That is why we are building a strong, modern energy based on clean sources. We are preparing to make investment decisions regarding the implementation of energy projects important from the point of view of the entire region in Lithuania. We are in constant contact with the Lithuanian side. The energy sector is another field for cooperation, because energy security is a priority for both Lithuania and Poland, ”said Obajtek, quoted in the press release.

The PKN Orlen Group manages six refineries in Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania, and is also active in Poland and Canada. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 131.5 billion in 2021. The company has been listed on the WSE since 1999.
