The program will last two years, its budget will amount to PLN 3 million, and PKN Orlen aims to review 500-600 applications.
“The first round of recruitment for more than 20 technology challenges is underway and will last four weeks. On average, we plan to update the challenges every two months and a total of 11 rounds of recruitment. We are prepared to verify a total of 500-600 applications, ”said Łukasz Kopeć, the head of the innovation and acceleration department at PKN Orlen.
During the two-year program, there will also be three major events, the so-called Demo Days, during which startups will have the opportunity to present completed pilot programs to potential investors.
PKN Orlen will be looking for startups offering solutions in 10 main areas: green transformation, hydrogen technologies, industry 4.0 and innovative organization, effective low-emission energy, new business areas, effective refining production, advanced petrochemicals and a new generation of materials, modern customer and future station, development fertilizer area and a modern upstream.
