PGNiG does 70 million pln deal to supply LNG for Warsaw buses

PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny from the Polish Oil and Gas Group (PGNiG) has signed another, third contract for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the fleet of Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe in Warsaw, the company said. The contract value is PLN 70 million.
The company will supply gas fuel to the bus refueling station in the depot at Ostrobramska Street.

“It is important that the popularity of gas mobility in Poland is growing because public transport powered by natural gas is a real chance to improve air quality in cities faster. This is particularly important in metropolises such as Warsaw, which consistently focuses on the dynamic expansion of the gas bus fleet, ”said Arkadiusz Sekściński, Vice President of PGNiG SA for Development.

PGNiG OD has been supplying LNG fuel to Zajezdnia Ostrobramska continuously since May 2019. The new agreement with MZA in Warsaw will remain in force until the delivery of liquefied natural gas with a total value of PLN 70 million.
