PGE EO will receive PLN 18.9 million in funding from the NFOŚiGW for the construction of a PV power plant near Szprotawa

PGE Energia Odnawialna (PGE EO) from the PGE Group signed an agreement with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) to co-finance the construction of a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 8 MW, the company announced. The total cost of the project is PLN 22.2 million, and the amount of financing provided is PLN 18.9 million.

“The implementation of the project co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is an important step towards implementing our plans to build new generating capacity from renewable energy sources. By the end of 2023, the PGE Group will have fully built or under construction PV power plants with a total target capacity of approximately 500 MW,” said Marcin Karlikowski, president of PGE EO, quoted in the release.

The aim of the project is to build a photovoltaic farm with a capacity of up to 8 MW along with the necessary accompanying infrastructure, including: inverters, transformer stations and internal cable lines connecting installation elements. Additionally, the PV farm area will be fenced and equipped with a monitoring system, and the equipment of the farm itself will be supplemented with a remote control system based on IT networks.
