Petrolinvest files for bankruptcy

Petrolinvest “due to the tragic financial situation” filed with the court in Gdańsk for bankruptcy of the company – Petrolinvest announced.

Petrolinvest was the first private exploration and production company in Poland. It conducted oil and gas exploration in Kazakhstan and implemented investment projects in the shale gas segment in Poland. Its main shareholder was Ryszard Krauze.

The company made its debut on the stock exchange in July 2007. Initially, its shares enjoyed great interest. However, the shares quickly began to systematically lose value, and investors were looking forward to the implementation of the announcements made by the management board.

Petrolinvest’s shares were last quoted on the stock exchange in June 2017. In December 2018, the WSE management board delisted the company’s shares from stock exchange trading.
