Product development, introduction of new technologies and foreign expansion are key components of the new strategy of the rail vehicle manufacturer Pesa with the perspective of 2025+, which was presented on Wednesday in Bydgoszcz. The trains and trams produced from the factory are to meet the demand for low-emission transport.
The president of the Polish Fund PFR, Paweł Borys, participated in the presentation of the strategy to journalists.
“It is an important day for PFR, the time to summarize over two years of our presence in Pesa. In our opinion, the restructuring has brought about stabilization of financial results.” – said Paweł Borys, President of the Polish Development Fund.
Borys noted that PFR decided to invest in Pesa, as it is one of the few Polish industrial companies that is able to create its own technologies and successfully enter foreign markets with them.
Pesa Bydgoszcz has already started implementing its new strategy. It implements innovative technologies and starts the production of trams, locomotives and vehicles as part of the new Regio160 platform, which is to be a response to the zero-emission transport needs resulting from the implementation of the Green Deal.
