“The strategic activities of the Pekabex Group, i.e. automation, increasing the efficiency of processes and technical excellence, e.g. aimed at increasing the possibilities of using the currently owned infrastructure, assume geographical diversification (27% of the Group’s revenues are generated outside the Polish market) and product diversification (prefabricated elements can be used in every segment of the construction market: warehouse and logistics buildings, production halls, stadiums, residential buildings or engineering facilities)” – we read in the communiqué.
The third equally important area is segmental diversification, focusing on three business lines: prefabrication, general contracting of investments, as well as property development. Thanks to this, the Group can provide comprehensive services, and at the same time has the opportunity to better understand the needs of customers.
“An important advantage, in the long term, mainly in the field of structures for hall and residential buildings, will be the advantage in terms of price competitiveness. We will be favored by the shortage of workers and the increase in wages in the construction sector. Thanks to the great possibilities of automating processes in our factories, which is very difficult on construction sites, our share of labor costs is lower, and this ultimately translates into lower costs of the structure itself and the facility, not to mention much higher acoustic or thermal properties. The ambition of the Pekabex Group is to be in the Top-5 on the European market and achieve over 30 percent. share of sales on foreign markets, mainly in Western Europe and Scandinavia,” said Beata Żaczek, Vice-President of Pekabex, quoted in the release.
The implementation of these assumptions is to be supported by the acquisition carried out earlier on the German market (production plant in Marktzeuln – Bavaria) and an operating development company that is implementing the Group’s pilot investment – Stadtvilla apartments in an exclusive suburb of Berlin. Pekabex intends to increase sales on the German and Scandinavian markets, mainly through the development of the general contracting segment of investments, as well as offering new products and increasingly advanced and comprehensive solutions in the field of prefabrication. The growing presence on foreign housing markets will be supported by the offer of P.Homes, which implements single-family house projects in prefabrication technology.
The Pekabex Group is a leading manufacturer of prefabricated structures in Poland. It has factories in Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw and Bielsko-Biała. In Poland, it mainly implements contracts in the field of large-scale construction (e.g. production halls, warehouses, commercial facilities, stations, car parks and office buildings) and engineering (e.g. bridges, tunnels). Export concerns mainly modular housing, mainly to Scandinavian countries. The company debuted on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2015; is included in the sWIG80 index.
