Orange Polska will increase investment outlays on the mobile access network

Orange Polska expects a stable capex in annual terms, but as part of it will increase investment outlays on the mobile access network, informed CFO Jacek Kunicki.

“We are waiting for the 5G auction to be resolved, which will enable the acceleration of the development of this technology. The speed of the auction affects the expected scale of the investment. Nevertheless, we plan to invest more in the mobile network, which will be related to the modernization of the mobile access network, ”said Kunicki during the conference call.

He also stated that the range of the 5G network offered by Orange Polska should increase by the end of the year, regardless of whether the operator will have the Cband spectrum or not.

The operator predicts that the economic investment outlays (eCapex) will be lower this year. be in the range of PLN 1.7-1.9 billion. As defined, this indicator does not include payments for granting and renewing licenses for mobile frequencies.
