Nutricia will invest PLN 230 million in the production of medical food at the plant in Opole

Nutricia from the Danone Group will invest PLN 230 million in the production of specialized medical food in the factory in Opole, informed the president of Nutricia Polska, Artur Ludwiczak. 50 people will find employment.

“In Nutricia, we are increasingly developing a category of products for the elderly and people with special nutritional needs. And it is precisely this type of food, the so-called enteral fluid will be produced in the factory in Opole,” said Ludwiczak during a press conference.

Construction will officially begin next week. Production will start in early 2025.

Currently, the company employs about 800 people in Opole.

In Poland, Danone operates in three areas: dairy and plant-derived products (Danone), water and beverages (Żywiec Zdrój), specialized nutrition, including food for infants and young children, and food for special medical purposes (Nutricia). It employs over 3,000 people in 10 locations.
