Nomad Electric has signed a contract with an international investor for the construction of a PV power plant with a total value of PLN 66 million, the company announced. The installations will be built in the EPC formula, the scope of work also includes the construction of cable lines with connection to the Distribution System Operator’s devices.
Construction of the power plant will begin in October this year, and completion is planned for 2024. The facilities that will be built under this contract will be located in the province of Zachodniopomorskie, Wielkopolskie, Opolskie and Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeships.
“We are very pleased with the opportunity to cooperate with one of the most experienced entities on the RES market, which is part of the global Group. This contract is another proof of the international investor’s trust in our company and team. I am proud that together we will build more PV farms, which will also contribute to the reduction of harmful CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Thus, we will add another brick to accelerate the transformation and increase the energy security of our country,” said Paweł Czaus, CEO of Nomad Electric, quoted in the release.
The portfolio of EPC projects implemented by Nomad Electric currently includes over 286 MWp, including, among others, solar parks with a total capacity of 77 MWp, which are entirely built on trackers, i.e. follow-up structures. Nomad Electric was one of the first companies in Poland to build such large PV installations entirely using this technology. The company also deals with construction of Main Collection Points and HV cable lines, it was underlined.
In addition to the implementation of photovoltaic farm projects, Nomad Electric is also gradually expanding the portfolio of PV projects at O&M. The company has secured contracts for a total capacity of over 1.3 GWp, which makes it a leader in this area.
“At Nomad Electric, we use a technologically advanced monitoring center and proprietary SCADA Nomad NX software, thermography using specialized drones, but also electroluminescence for module inspection. Thanks to such innovations, we help farm owners not only improve the efficiency and performance of power plants, but also extend the life of the installation, minimize risk and increase the total value of assets,” added Paweł Muszyński, business development director at Nomad Electric.
Nomad Electric is a leader in the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) area of large-area photovoltaic farms and a leading provider of comprehensive turnkey construction services (EPC). The company operates not only in Poland, but also in other European Union countries and has concluded contracts for technical support for a portfolio of photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of over 1.3 GWp. Nomad Electric manages PV power plants through a modern Monitoring Center and uses proprietary Nomad NX SCADA software.
