Noble Securities analysts, in a report from April 8, lowered the recommendation for CD Projekt to “reduce” from “buy”.
On the day of issuing the recommendation, the rate was PLN 183. On Tuesday one share of the company costs PLN 186.44.
“A significant decline in both the number of Cyberpunk players and the game’s ratings on Steam, disturbing M Science sales estimates, resignation from the paid Cyberpunk Multiplayer product and the lack of clear growth triggers indicated by the management board in the company’s new strategy prompts us to adjust our assumptions regarding the forecasted results. As a result, we are lowering the projected sales volume of the game from 10.4 million to 3 million copies in 2021, from 56.1 million copies in the entire life cycle of the game to 29.2 million, and we are reducing the forecast sales volume of the two forecast paid DLCs “- it was written in the report.
According to analysts, Cyberpunk’s sales estimates are disturbing. According to the M Science report, Cyberpunk could sell approx. 600,000 copies in the first quarter of 2021. The only official figures provided by the company relate to sales by December 20 of over 13 million copies.
