The Mlekpol Dairy Cooperative plans to carry out an investment by 2024 in an innovative technology for the production of UHT milk with a long shelf life in trade, worth nearly PLN 88.1 million, and in a new butter production technology, worth nearly PLN 46.5 million..
“The investment worth over PLN 88 million will enable us to develop an innovative technology for the production of UHT milk with a long shelf life in trade, dedicated to distant markets. As a result of implementing this innovation, we want to attract new customers and increase the export potential of our company, ”said Zbigniew Groszyk, vice president of production at SM Mlekpol in Grajewo.
The aim of the project is to develop innovative UHT milk with extended shelf life in trade, in particular resistance to conditions prevailing during long-term sea transport and improved sensory quality. The expected results include acquiring new customers and increasing the company’s export potential, the company said.
The Mlekpol Dairy Cooperative in Grajewo is the largest producer of milk and dairy products in Poland and one of the twenty largest milk processors in Europe. Over 30% of SM Mlekpol’s products are exported to the countries of Asia, South America, Europe and the Far East.
