LPP agrees 10-year wind energy deal with Figene Energia

LPP has signed a contract with Figene Energia for the supply of green energy for a period of 10 years to most of the company’s office buildings in Poland and the Distribution Center in Pruszcz Gdański from January 1, 2023, the company announced. The estimated volume of energy necessary to meet the company’s needs in this period is 358,000 MWh.

“The contract signed with Figene Energia is our next step in achieving the goals we adopted in the ‘Sustainable Development Strategy for 2020-2025’. We made a commitment that we will gradually neutralize our impact on the environment, taking into account all areas of activity. A few weeks ago, we completed the installation of photovoltaic panels at the LPP Distribution Center under construction in Brześć Kujawski. There we decided to use solar power. This time, when signing the contract with Figene, we focused on wind energy, ”said Łukasz Piwoński, administrative and technical director at LPP.

The contract signed with Figene Energia provides for the possibility of extending the contract for an additional 5 years.
