Lidl Polska will open its thirteenth distribution center near Warsaw in September 2023

Lidl Polska will open its 13th distribution center in Poland in Piorunów near Błonie, which will facilitate the service of Lidl Polska stores in Warsaw and suburbs. The opening of the facility is planned for September this year. About 200 people will find work in the nearly 68,000 m2 warehouse hall, and recruitment is currently underway, the company announced.

“It will be one of the most modern facilities of this type in the company’s portfolio in Europe. […] The Distribution Center will enable effective distribution to Lidl Polska stores in and around Warsaw. It will be one of the most modern facilities of this type in the Lidl portfolio in Europe. With the environment in mind, the facility will be equipped with solutions such as: photovoltaic installation, rainwater utilization system, energy-saving lighting, as well as recuperation and heat recovery from refrigeration. The last one will allow for complete heating of the warehouse at an external temperature above approx. 2 degrees Celsius,” reads the release.
